What We Believe

God’s Holy Spirit moves through all human life.  We all experience the power of that Spirit with every breath we take.  The Spirit’s presence is clearest in moments of depth.  Moments when justice triumphs, when the rejected are welcomed, when wounds are healed, when forgiveness is received and offered, when broken relationships are reconciled.  Whenever truth is revealed or beauty beheld, the Spirit is present.  Whenever we love or are loved the Spirit is present.  Whenever new life springs from the wreckage of death, the presence and power of the Holy Spirit is felt.

Christians, in many different ways, experience that same Holy Spirit. This experience draws us onto an encounter with Jesus Christ, whom we recognize as the One and whom completely embodies justice, healing, forgiveness, reconciliation, truth, beauty, unbounded love and unquenchable life.

In meeting Jesus, we find ourselves in a direct, immediate and loving relationship with God, as the Loving Source and Destiny of all.

The Church is called on to be the community whose life is centered on trusting God by following Jesus.
